Chelsea, incredibly, have emerged as outsiders for the Premier League’s top four.
The first half of the Blues’ campaign was abysmal, but since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho at the end of December, the reigning champions remain unbeaten in England’s top flight.
And with Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur stuttering in their fight for the title, some are pondering whether Chelsea really could make a late surge for a Champions League spot.
To illustrate just how credible their challenge is, Hiddink’s side are closer to the top four (eight points) than City are to leaders Leicester City (10 points).
