AS Roma are set to hand Radja Nainggolan a bumper new contract to ward off the interest of Chelsea.
The tough-tackling midfielder is much admired by new Blues boss Antonio Conte, who has been linked with a summer swoop for him.
However, Roma are desperate not to lose the Belgian, especially having already sold Miralem Pjanic to Juventus during the window.
And now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Nainggolan is set to snub the interest from west London in favour of extending his contract in the Italian capital.
Roma director Walter Sabatini and the club’s director general Mauro Baldissoni reportedly met with the the 25-year-old’s agent to discuss a potential new deal.
And it has been suggested that the club are ready to hand him a huge pay rise which will make him the third highest paid player in the squad.
