Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink says he has been impressed by Bertrand Traore’s attitude and willingness to learn.
The Blues are currently missing the suspended Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, who has a hip problem, and Hiddink has indicated he is happy to turn to 20-year-old Traore in the duo’s absence.
Hiddink feels Traore has improved during his tenure at Stamford Bridge this season.
He told the club’s official website: “I like to help and guide young players on how you go into your career, plan a career, what you have to focus on.
“Of course you do it with the experienced players as well but it is nice to see the development for instance from Traore – asking him what do you want to do, do you want to go on loan? You were in Holland so do you want to go back there or to a big club somewhere else for experience, or do you stay here?
“Looking at those options with the guys and seeing what is the best for them, that is what I like to do, because the good ones they are very eager to learn.”
