AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez has emerged as a possible summer target for Chelsea.
Thibaut Courtois is set to resume the campaign as the Blues’ first-choice keeper under Antonio Conte but, with back-up Asmir Begovic being tipped to leave and Marco Amelia’s departure confirmed, the incoming boss has a keeper vacancy to fill at Stamford Bridge.
Spaniard Lopez moved to the San Siro two years ago from Real Madrid and was first-choice there initially before youngster Gianluigi Donnarumma usurped him.
As a result, Lopez could be willing to move on and might welcome the chance to join the Blues, where he could be deployed by Conte in the cups and possibly even in Europe in the upcoming season.
Reports say Chelsea are ready to offer the experienced Lopez, 34, a four-year deal.
