Fulham have made Michael Madl’s loan move from Sturm Graz permanent.
The Austrian, who arrived at Craven Cottage on a temporary deal in January, made 13 appearances for the west London side, scoring once.
The deal included the option to make the move permanent and, given the strength of his performances, Fulham have wasted no time in securing the defender’s signature.
The 28-year-old was halfway through his fourth season with Graz but moved out on loan for a new challenge.
On signing his permanent deal, Madl told the Cottagers’ official website: “I’m delighted to have completed the permanent move to Fulham this morning and would like to thank the fans, players and staff at SK Sturm Graz for an amazing time there.
“I’m now continuing a new challenge in England with Fulham following on from my initial loan spell. I’ve enjoyed the past five months where the Fulham fans have made me feel so welcome from the very first day.”
