Spurs could make a late move for Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko if they fail to convince Crystal Palace to sell Wilfried Zaha.
Tottenham have seen an opening offer of £12million knocked back by Palace for Zaha and there have been claims an improved bid of £18million has also been rejected.
Zaha has expressed a desire to speak to Spurs but the Selhurst Park outfit are reluctant to sell and it remains to be seen if a deal can be done.
Real Madrid’s Isco has also been mooted as a target but Spanish reports indicate he is happy to stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has said he wants to sign an attacking player and now Sissoko, a Euro 2016 finalist with France this summer, has emerged as a target.
The 27-year-old is keen to leave following Newcastle’s drop down to the Championship but the St James’ Park outfit are understood to be standing firm on their £35million valuation.
Spurs hope a deal can be done but will not pay more than £20million and they could be facing disappointment in their pursuit of the winger.
