Stefan Johansen has left Celtic to sign for English Championship side Fulham.
The 25-year-old Norwegian, who signed from Stromsgodset in 2012, has only made one substitute appearance since Brendan Rodgers became manager.
Rodgers had confirmed that Johansen was on his way out of the club after failing to agree a contract extension.
“He wasn’t going to sign a new deal, so it’s one that probably works well for both really,” he said on Friday.
“Stefan’s going into the last year of his contract.
“He has worked over pre-season and it’s been difficult because he’s been unable to reach an agreement with the club.
“But I think he has always wanted to play in England, so the opportunity has come for him.
Johansen, who has 26 caps for his country, was a regular starter under Rodgers’ predecessor, Ronny Deila, the pair having worked together at Stromsgodset.
