Wigan have signed striker Adam Le Fondre from Sky Bet Championship rivals Cardiff on loan for the rest of the season.
Le Fondre, who has not featured for Cardiff this season, scored three goals in 30 appearances during a loan spell at Wolves last season.
“He’s a proven goalscorer at this level, and they are difficult to find, as everyone knows,” Wigan boss Gary Caldwell told the club’s official website.
“He knows the division inside out and will add tremendous competition to the squad.
“At 29, he’s still in his prime and we are delighted to have got this one over the line.”
Le Fondre has scored a total of 168 league goals in 432 appearances for Stockport, Rochdale, Rotherham, Reading, Cardiff, Bolton and Wolves.
