New Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock is to make Junior Hoilett his first signing at the club.
The 26-year-old winger is a free agent after his contract came to an end at QPR in the summer.
Warnock is wasting no time since taking charge at the Bluebirds with two more signings potentially to follow.
Hoilett, who also played in the Premier League with Blackburn, is being brought in to provide much-needed pace to the Bluebirds’ flanks.
Canadian international Hoilett was seen as one of the brightest young players in the top-flight, but his progress has been hampered by injury in recent seasons.
But in 2015-16 he made 31 appearances for QPR and scored six goals.
Hoilett is set to be involved when Warnock takes charge of his first Cardiff game when Bristol City visit the Welsh capital on Friday, 14 October.
