Norwich could be without Robbie Brady and Steven Naismith for a few weeks but Seb Bassong and Andre Wisdom are close to returning.
Brady and Naismith suffered muscle strains in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Swansea and had to be substituted at the Liberty Stadium.
The pair will be assessed over the coming days by the club’s medical staff but boss Alex Neil is hopeful they are only minor setbacks with Brady sustaining a calf pull and Naismith a hamstring strain.
Neil said: “Losing Robbie so early in the game was a blow because he is a big player for us and then Steven Naismith later on with a hamstring problem. That certainly doesn’t help our cause but we just need to wait. I think both felt the injuries and we got them off as soon as we could.
“I don’t think it is tears or anything like that, there was a bit of discomfort and they were not capable of moving properly so they put their hands up.”
The duo could be out for a couple of weeks at least but the Canaries may be boosted by the return of Bassong and Wisdom this week.
Both are poised to return to training by Tuesday at the latest ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Manchester City.
