Campaign to bring Raheem Sterling home

17 Jun

It’s fair to say Raheem Sterling has not had an enjoyable Euro 2016.

The £49 million man has struggled in both matches for England and has been hauled off in both their opening games. Fans are running out of patience with the Manchester City winger, who even calls himself “#HatedTalent” on Instagram.

And now one England fan has taken it upon himself to get Sterling home from France. A crowdfunding page has been set up with the aim of raising enough money to get the misfiring midfielder back home.

Of course, it’s all a bit of fun, and any donations — £87 at the time of writing — will go to charity.
