Conservative MEP David Campbell Bannerman said: “140,000 is a massive sample size and the overwhelming support for Brexit is unarguable.
“I think this shows the campaign of scaremongering being run on the remain side is irritating people, not frightening them, and making them even more determined to vote to leave. This poll shows only three per cent undecided.
“As people get to understand the full and positive facts on how we’d be freer, happier and wealthier out of the EU so the support for leave will surge.”
Labour MP Kate Hoey, co-head of her party’s Labour Leave campaign, said: “This poll shows that the British people are not taken in by warm words from the Prime Minister about how good a deal he got.
“They know that a leave vote will mean we can run our own country, trade with the rest of the world and stand proud as a free nation.”
Ukip’s deputy leader Paul Nuttall, MEP for the North West of England, said: “This is an overwhelming endorsement of the campaign to leave the EU.
“I think we’re all a bit wary of polls these days but 87 per cent of 140,000 people backing the leave campaign simply cannot be ignored.
