Swansea midfielder Leon Britton is set to turn his back on a move to Leeds in favour of signing a new deal at the Liberty Stadium.
Former Swans boss Garry Monk, now in charge at Elland Road, has already swooped on the Liberty to sign centre-back Kyle Bartley on loan, and rumours are rife he also wants Britton.
The 33-year-old has not always been a regular in the Swansea side and there is chance he could slip further down the pecking order if Francesco Guidolin brings in one or two midfielders this summer.
Britton also has just one year remaining on his current deal, which has kicked off suggestions Swansea could look to cash in now rather than let him leave on a free transfer.
However, it is quite the opposite in fact. Swansea are keen to keep the experienced midfielder and are locked in talks with a view to him penning a new extended deal in the next few weeks, news which is sure to disappoint Monk at Leeds.
