Assistant boss Mark Bowen has confirmed that Stoke are one of the clubs interested in signing Portugal forward Nani this summer.
The former Manchester United star was playing his domestic football in Turkey last season, but the 29-year-old seems almost certain to leave Fenerbahce with interest from England and Spain.
Nani, who is expected to be in Portugal’s starting XI to face Wales in the Euro 2016 semi final on Wednesday, is understood to be a target for La Liga outfit Valencia.
But Stoke have also joined the race to sign the ex-Sporting Lisbon ace, who scored 40 goals in 229 appearances for United, with Mark Hughes’ number two revealing their stance.
Bowen told BBC Radio Stoke: “He probably left the Premier League too early. He’s still a real talent, as we’ve seen.
“He’s got the attributes any Premier League team, I would have thought, would be interested in, especially given the form he’s in at the moment.”
