Liverpool will face competition from Chelsea in the race to sign Lille attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal this summer.
The Reds are ready to turn their attention to Boufal as their attempts to sign Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich continue to stall, but reports claim that Chelsea could throw a spanner in the works.
Boufal impressed for Lille last season when scoring 12 goals from midfield, while he also provided three assists, form which has caught the eye of both Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old is under contract until 2019 so Lille are under no pressure to sell. However it is thought they will struggle to turn down a substantial bid if Liverpool or Chelsea come knocking.
Just like Jurgen Klopp, Blues boss Antonio Conte is looking to revamp his squad with a number of new signings this summer, and Boufal is on his list of targets.
There have also been some suggestions Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could also join the race.
