Stoke boss Mark Hughes has called on his players to keep their focus as they remain in the hunt for a place in Europe.
The Potters moved within four points of Manchester United in sixth as they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at the weekend, and talk has inevitably turned to their chances of making the Europa League.
Hughes says that cannot be ruled out after they made it four games without a defeat at Stamford Bridge, but says they must maintain their current form to have any kind of chance.
“This performance and more performances like this will encourage us to think that,” Hughes told BBC Radio Stoke when quizzed about their chances of a top six finish.
“We’ve been mindful that this could be a very special year for us. But we have to maintain our focus and keep our form. And, at the moment, we seem to be doing that.”
The Potters entertain Southampton at the Britannia Stadium this weekend when another three points really will have the fans dreaming of another European tour.
