West Ham co-chairman David Gold has totally dismissed speculation linking Middlesbrough with a summer move for Michail Antonio.
A recent report in the London Evening Standard claimed Boro could target the winger this summer as the Teessiders look to improve their squad following promotion from the Championship.
Antonio impressed for the Hammers in the second half of the season after an initial slow start to life at Upton Park and scored nine goals in all competitions as Slaven Bilic’s team finished seventh in the Premier League.
Gold has rubbished claims Boro could be set to sign the former Forest man as he wrote on Twitter: “Evening Standard – Newly promoted Middlesbrough have reportedly identified Michail Antonio as a key target this summer. (Dream on. dg).”
