Wilfried Bony has increased speculation he could be on the verge of a move to Everton after he was spotted driving in the city.

The Ivory Coast striker has been proposed as a potential makeweight in Manchester City’s repeated attempts to prise away £50million-rated Toffees defender John Stones.

Bony was snapped in his black Range Rover near Liverpool’s Lime Street Station on Friday, and sources close to the player have suggested Bony is certainly up for the switch to Goodison Park.

However it is understood Everton boss Ronaldo Koeman is not keen on including Bony in the equation for Stones, with their Manchester counterparts still valuing the player at the £27m they paid to Swansea for him back in January 2015.

But there appears to have been significant headway made in the last couple of days, with City now prepared to value Bony at £15m, and a further £35m in cash also making its way down the East Lancs Road for Stones.

Bony has struggled to settle at the Etihad Stadium but Koeman would have a ready-made profile replacement, should Chelsea also be successful in persuading Everton to allow their former striker Romelu Lukaku to return to Stamford Bridge for £65m.
