Mark Hughes has insisted Bojan remains firmly in his plans despite slipping out of the Stoke first team in recent weeks.
The Spanish star has been a revelation since joining the Potters, but one or two eyebrows have been raised after he started just two of the last 12 games.
Bojan has also had to settle for the bench in the last three games and did not make it on to the pitch at any point against Manchester City, Tottenham and Sunderland.
“Goodness me, absolutely,” Hughes responded when asked if Bojan was still in his thoughts. “Some games certain personnel is the right option and other games other personnel is and that’s affected Bojan.
“Certainly against Sunderland, because it was a game I felt was one he wouldn’t be able to put his stamp on the same. But it doesn’t change the way I feel about him as a player, or how I feel he can influence other games in the future.
“It’s just that this game was a one-off in terms of what we needed and his particular skills set wasn’t what I felt we needed.”
