Manchester United utility man Daley Blind has praised new arrivals Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Sunday’s Community Shield.
The Red Devils claimed their first piece of silverware with a 2-1 victory over Premier League champions Leicester, courtesy of a late strike from Ibrahimovic at Wembley on Sunday.
Bailly and the former PSG man were both handed the chance to start against the Foxes and put in encouraging performances a week ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Blind played alongside Bailly in the heart of defence and, although he admits there is a language barrier, he feels they understand eachother’s game.
“We talk a lot, obviously more with the hands because I don’t speak French, but a little bit of English,” Blind said.
“We understand each other, and that’s a good thing. Zlatan is also a great guy. He works very hard and shows that he really wants to win – he’s a great person.”
