Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is being tipped to follow up his interest in Swansea’s Andre Ayew with an offer for Bafetimbi Gomis too.
Ayew has been heavily linked with a move to the Stadium of Light in recent weeks after an impressive debut campaign for the Swans, during which he hit 12 goals in 34 appearances.
The Ghana international is believed to be open to the idea of a move to the Black Cats and Sunderland are prepared to offer around £15million for the former Marseille man, although a transfer remains some way off being agreed.
And now Gomis has also been linked with a move to the Wearsiders as Allardyce, who is expected to allow Steven Fletcher and Danny Graham leave on permanent deals this summer, looks for more competition up front to push Jermain Defoe and Fabio Borini.
Gomis had a solid campaign for the Swans, even though he wasn’t always first-choice, scoring six Premier League goals.
