Birmingham will assess midfielder Jon Toral (head) and forward Kyle Lafferty (groin) before their match with promotion-chasing Brighton.

Defender Jonathan Spector and forward Nicolai Brock-Madsen could both return from illness.

Brighton forward Sam Baldock is doubtful (hamstring) while right-back Bruno (cramp) should be available.

Defender Uwe Hunemeier (groin) and midfielder Solly March (knee) are still out.

  • Birmingham have lost four of their last five meetings with Brighton (W1).
  • The Seagulls’ loss to Birmingham in this exact fixture this season ended a five league game unbeaten at St Andrew’s (W2 D3).
  • The Blues have not won any of their previous four league games, while a fifth without a victory would equal their previous longest winless run of the season (5).
  • Brighton, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last seven league games (W4 D3).
