Slaven Bilic is in no doubt that West Ham will return to form when a number of their key players come back from injury.
The Hammers have had a poor start to the campaign, winning just one of their three Premier League games, while they were also knocked out of the Europa League by Romanian club Astra Giurgiu.
Following the hype of moving to the London Stadium, it has turned out to be an underwhelming start to the campaign for Bilic’s men, who had been hoping to challenge for the top six.
However, they have gone through all this without a number of key players, with Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew picking up injuries, while Sofiane Feghouli has yet to play for the club and Dimitri Payet has taken longer than expected to recover after Euro 2016.
Manuel Lanzini did return off the bench for Sunday’s defeat against Manchester City and with more of his squad expected to be fit after the international break, Bilic has warned his side will come back stronger.
“A few of them will definitely be back after the international break,” Bilic told the club’s official website. “Lanzini came back today and he’s not injured any more, then it should be Payet, Feghouli, maybe a few others and maybe Carroll.
“Of course it’s going to change totally the shape of the team and also the quality.”
Next up for the Hammers is struggling Watford at home on September 10. Punters may decide to heed Bilic’s words and choose to use their free bet to back West Ham to claim all three points against the Hornets.
