Slaven Bilic says West Ham are “very close” to completing the signings of Swansea’s Andre Ayew and Olympiakos left-back Arthur Masuaku.
The Hammers are understood to have made a breakthrough in their attempts to secure a £20m with Swansea for the Ghana international, who scored 12 Premier League goals last season.
Swansea’s capture of Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente from Sevilla appears to have opened the door for Ayew to leave the Liberty Stadium.
Bilic, speaking prior to Sunday’s official opening match of the London Stadium against Juventus, confirmed in an interview with BT Sport that both Ayew and Masuaku are set to join West Ham before they kick off their Premier League season next Monday away to Chelsea.
“We are close to signing a couple of players and that’s it,” he said.
Masuaku, 22, played in Olympiakos’ two Champions League third qualifying round ties against Hapoel Be’er Sheva recently, but they were knocked out on Wednesday 1-0 on aggregate.
