Southampton striker Graziano Pelle is reported to be a target for Lazio – although the Roman club have a couple of alternatives.
Pelle’s international team-mate Ciro Immobile and Spanish striker Fernando Llorente – who both appeared for Sevilla last season – are said to be the other forwards in the frame.
The Serie A club are searching for a striker and appear to have given up hope of landing Pescara star Gianluca Lapadula as they now turn their attention to others.
According to Il Tempo, Pelle is their new number one target and the Italian certainly impressed during the Azzurri’s first game at Euro 2016 against Belgium.
The report suggests he would cost in the region of £9million and that any move for him already has the approval of incoming Lazio coach Marcelo Bielsa.
Pelle has one year left on his St Mary’s contract after talks over an extension were put on hold back in January, and recent reports have claimed the club are not prepared to let him run his deal down and leave on a free next summer.
