Real Betis sporting director Miguel Torrecilla has revealed that he wants to renew the loan deal with Chelsea for Charly Musonda.
Musonda was signed by Chelsea in 2012 but is yet to make his senior debut and spent the second half of last term out on loan with Betis.
The 19-year-old impressed during his first stint in professional football and claimed the man of the match award on his debut against Valencia.
Betis were able to steer clear of relegation and are hoping they can bring the midfielder back, although Torrecilla admitted they would struggle to afford a permanent deal.
Torrecilla said: “He is a player for a top team and Chelsea will protect his talent.
“An option to buy him could be too expensive for us and will be impossible to pay it. These clubs buy and invest in talented players.”
