Everton defender Muhamed Besic is targeting success in Germany on the club’s pre-season tour and wants to return with silverware.
Ronald Koeman’s men are playing for the Dresden Cup and have two matches in two days – against hosts Dynamo Dresden on Friday evening before they will then face Real Betis or Werder Bremen on Saturday.
The midfielder is targeting success in the country where he was raised and he is looking at bringing back the cup over the weekend.
The Bosnia international told evertontv: “Every game, for me, is like a Premier League game. You have to always give your best. The coach wants this also from us and we have to do that. Every friendly game has to be treated like a Premier League game.
“I was born in Germany and Dresden is just two-and-a-half hours from my home town. I like to be back in Germany because it was my home.”
He added: “We will give our best to win every game. We will give our best to win the [Dresden] cup.
“German sides and Spanish sides are different. German sides are more organised and Spanish sides like to press a lot. It will be a really good test for us.”
