Saido Berahino will reportedly complete his move from West Brom to Stoke next week after the two clubs agreed a £16m deal.
The 22-year-old was denied the chance to join Tottenham last summer and there has been a rift between player and club since then, despite boss Tony Pulis bringing him back into the fold at times last season.
With his contract having just over 12 months left to run, Albion have given up trying to persuade Berahino to stay and are ready to let him move to Stoke.
The Potters had a bid of £15million rejected at the start of last week but the Baggies have now accepted an offer in the region of £16m after failing to spark a bidding war with any other interested parties.
Stoke are said to have offered the striker a contract worth £70,000-per-week and the transfer could be wrapped up as early as next week.
