Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has indicated he would like to work with Antonio Conte again ahead of him becoming Chelsea boss.
Conte is widely expected to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer after announcing he would not be extending his contract as head coach of the Italian national team beyond Euro 2016.
The 46-year-old has already begun drawing up a list of transfer targets ahead of his switch to the Blues and Vidal is reportedly high on his wishlist.
Conte knows the Chilean well having worked with him while in charge of Juventus, with Vidal joining the Old Lady in the summer of 2011 and playing a key role in the club’s three successive Serie A titles under Conte.
Vidal has since jumped ship to Bayern Munich, moving to the German champions last summer, but his future is subject to speculation after a big falling out with the German press earlier this year.
A move to Chelsea might appeal and the 28-year-old has now suggested he would like to join forces with Conte once again.
“I have always said if I go to war I would take Conte with me. We will see what happens,” he said.
