Michy Batshuayi says his departure from Marseille will soon be confirmed, with Chelsea reported to be closing on a swoop.
The Belgium striker has been linked with a £33million move to Stamford Bridge after two successful years at the Stade Velodrome, but Crystal Palace, Tottenham and West Ham are also keen.
The 22-year-old hinted at a move to Chelsea earlier in the week when he started following the club on social media, and it will be a surprise if he is unveiled somewhere else.
Without confirming his destination, he wrote in a post on his Twitter feed on Saturday evening: “It will be made official tomorrow, I will be leaving Olympique Marseille this summer.”
Batshuayi began his career at Standard Liege and joined OM in the summer of 2014, scoring 15 goals in his first season with the club.
In a statement to the club’s fans he wrapped up by saying: “I hope I can keep making you proud with my new club, and will continue to follow closely the results of OM. I hope the club can recover the results they deserve.”
Antonio Conte is now set to take charge at Chelsea after Italy crashed out of Euro 2016 against Germany, and Batshuayi looks set to be his first signing.
