Barnsley have signed Queens Park Rangers left-back Cole Kpekawa for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old, who has played four times for England’s Under-20s, has agreed a three-year deal at Oakwell.
He played nine times for QPR, making his debut as a substitute on the final day of the 2014-15 season in a 5-1 Premier League loss to Leicester City.
Kpekawa has also spent time on loan at Colchester United, Portsmouth and Leyton Orient.
“He’s ambitious and wants to be here, that was key,” Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom told the club website.
“He’s demonstrated all the ability and determination to be a Championship player and I can’t wait to get him integrated within the group, show him our system of play and get him out onto the pitch.”
