Barcelona have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj but his agent insists the defender is not for sale this summer.
The 22-year-old moved to Naples from Empoli in the summer of 2015 and made 37 Serie A appearances last season as the Partenopei finished second in the league to secure Champions League football.
He was selected for Albania’s Euro 2016 squad and appears to be on the radar of a number of top European clubs, with Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Monaco and Atletico Madrid all linked.
The Catalans are the latest heavyweights to show their hand but, according to agent Mario Giuffredi, the versatile stopper is going nowhere.
“Hysaj is still calm, because I think he’s unmoveable from the right flank. I want to point out that Hysaj is not for sale, he’s shown a lot at Napoli and he’s happy in the city,” he told told Radio Crc.
“The club wants to revise his contract, so there’s no reason to leave.”
Giuffredi has also suggested that his client would not consider Arsenal as he would not see the move as a step up from Napoli.
