Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is being heavily linked with a summer switch to Catalan giants Barcelona.
The 26-year-old joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 but has suffered an injury-plagued spell at Old Trafford, and reports in Spain claim he could be heading to the Nou Camp.
The Argentina international has featured in only 30 Premier League games across nearly two seasons after the Red Devils paid £16million for his services.
United have endured another below-par campaign and it is open to debate whether Louis van Gaal will still be in charge next season but, according to Diario Sport, Rojo is keen to join compatriot and good friend Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp regardless of what happens.
Barca like to buy players who offer them options and, with Rojo able to play at left-back, wing-back or in the centre of defence, he would appear to fit the Catalans’ bill perfectly.
