Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino continues to search for summer signings, with Mauro Icardi and Cristian Tello both on his radar.
Pochettino is busy working on his transfer targets as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the Premier League resumption and also a Champions League campaign in 2016-17.
Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen have been confirmed so far but there could be up to six more new faces at the club by the time the window closes at the end of August.
Barcelona winger Tello and Inter striker Icardi are two names linked with Spurs and, even though the duo would not come cheap, deals for both could be worked out over the next few weeks.
Icardi has been a prolific goalscorer in Italy for Inter since he joined them in 2013, hitting 47 Serie A goals in just 88 games, and, according to his wife (who also acts as his agent), both Spurs and local rivals Arsenal are interested in him.
Wanda Nara has been quoted in Italy, saying: “There are many offers, but I do not negotiate with other clubs. I only talk about Mauro’s contract, that’s my role, not doing negotiations. Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Arsenal have made contact. Napoli and Roma are also interested now.”
Tello, meanwhile. is another player apparently interesting Pochettino, while Liverpool are also said to be keen.
The 24-year-old has spent the last few years out on loan, at Porto and Fiorentina, and appears to have no long-term future at Barca.
Tello has two years left on his Nou Camp deal and could reportedly be available for around £9million.
