Tony Pulis is waiting to find out the severity of the knee injury Chris Brunt suffered in West Brom’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.
The Baggies boss was left frustrated when his make-shift left-back was stretchered off just before half-time in the game at the Hawthorns on Saturday evening.
And while Brunt will not have a scan until Tuesday, there is speculation that the player has damaged his cruciate ligaments which could end his season and scupper his hopes of playing for Northern Ireland at Euro 2016 this summer.
However Pulis is preferring to wait for the medical staff to examine him before discussing the situation, although Brunt will definitely miss Tuesday’s trip to league leaders Leicester City.
Pulis said at his pre-match press conference: “Brunty’s going to see a specialist tomorrow [Tuesday] so we’ll wait until that until we announce what’s wrong with him.
“There’s all sorts of different opinions so wait until the specialist sees it.
“I’ve seen it from a distance so we’ll wait until the specialist sees it and makes an assessment on it.”
