West Brom have put a £20million price-tag on Stoke City target Saido Berahino – even though he has just one year left on his contract.
The Mirror claim Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace is refusing to reduce his valuation during talks with Stoke over Berahino, having rejected an offer of £23million from Tottenham last summer.
West Brom also rejected a £21million bid from Newcastle for the player in January and believe Berahino is worth £20million right now.
The 22-year-old endured a disappointing campaign last season after seeing a transfer deadline day move to White Hart Lane fall through – managing just four Premier League goals.
Stoke hope to land Berahino for around £16million, but may be forced to go higher by Peace’s tough stance.
