Tony Pulis has been impressed with how club-record signing Nacer Chadli has settled into life at West Brom both on and off the pitch.
Chadli, a £13million arrival from Tottenham, has made a bright start with the Baggies, scoring three goals and setting up two others in his four matches for the club.
Such early season form earned him a call-up to the Belgium squad after he was overlooked for the European Championships in the summer.
However, Chadli’s demeanour away from the field and his ability to bond with the rest of the West Brom team has also caught Pulis’ eye.
“Nacer’s done well, we’ve been really pleased with him not just the way he’s played, but also the way he’s mixed well with the group,” he said ahead of Saturday’s visit of Chadli’s former club Spurs to The Hawthorns.
“All the players we brought in and have integrated well. The spirit there is very good and we’ve got to try and maintain that with good results.
“Performances help, but he’s settled in with the group off the pitch as well. He’s got a good manner about him.
“I think they look up to him as well in respect that technically he’s an exceptional player. Let’s hope he keeps scoring goals.”
