Tony Pulis has urged the West Brom money men to loosen the purse strings so he can further bolster the squad this summer.
The Baggies boss was looking to continue developing his side at the Hawthorns in the transfer window as Premier League clubs start to take their share of the whopping new £5.1billion TV deal.
However, Pulis has only managed to secure the signature of QPR winger Matt Phillips in a £5million deal, while rival clubs have been splashing vast sums to improve their squads.
The Welsh tactician clearly does not want to be left behind and end up in a fight for survival next season and so is seeking further financial backing.
He told the Express & Star: “The biggest thing is trying to improve the football club and stabilise what we’re trying to achieve.
“To do that you have to get the finances and backing to improve. That’s what we’ll be trying to do.
“There’s a lot more money coming into the Premier League next year so that means there’ll be a lot more competition.”
