QPR winger Matt Phillips is poised to join West Brom after the two clubs reportedly agreed a £5.5million deal for the player.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to The Hawthorns in the past with boss Tony Pulis expressing an interest in signing him 12 months ago only to fail in his efforts to prise him away from the Championship outfit.
However after a disappointing season in the second tier, in which the R’s failed to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt, it seems the QPR bosses have decided to offload Phillips.
The former Blackpool man, who joined QPR in 2013 after three years at Bloomfield Road, scored eight goals in 44 Championship appearances for the Londoners last term.
But, after being left out of their pre-season tour to the Netherlands, it seems Phillips is on course to link up with West Brom this week once personal terms are agreed and a medical is passed.
