Stoke City have reportedly targeted Nathan Redmond as an alternative transfer target to West Brom forward Saido Berahino.
The Potters have been linked with Berahino for some time but are believed to be unwilling to match the Baggies’ full £20million asking-price, while boss Mark Hughes has also indicated his side could struggle to seal a deal should they be drawn into a transfer battle with Tottenham.
As such Redmond, valued at £10million, has been identified as an alternative target following Norwich’s relegation from the Premier League.
The Canaries are resigned to losing the 22-year-old winger this summer following their drop down to the Championship as Redmond is out of contract at the end of next season.
However, Stoke will face a fight to snare Redmond as both West Ham and Crystal Palace have been mooted as potential suitors, with the latter considered the early frontrunners to sign the Canaries star at this stage.
