Crystal Palace are reported to be leading the race for West Brom striker Saido Berahino, and are ready to pay £20million.
Berahino is again the subject of much transfer speculation, with the Eagles, Stoke City and Southampton among the clubs reported to be showing an interest in him.
The striker only has one year remaining on his current deal at the Hawthorns, and the valuation appears to be the sticking point, with most clubs only willing to pay in the region of £11million.
However, Albion are standing firm for now and are holding out for £20million, a figure that Palace are prepared to meet according to the latest reports.
Palace boss Alan Pardew is in the hunt for a new striker after losing Emmanuel Adebayor, Marouane Chamakh and Dwight Gayle this summer and has the cash to spend on Berahino.
It remains to be seen if any other clubs will go that high, and for now at least, Palace seem to be in the box seat.
