West Ham are closing in on a deal for Swansea City striker Andre Ayew after having a £20million fee agreed.
The 26-year-old, who scored 12 goals for the Swans last season, is in talks with the Hammers over the move and it is expected he will join before the new Premier League season begins next weekend.
Swansea have brought in striker Fernando Llorente from Sevilla in the past few days and hope to complete the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston as well as they face up to losing Ayew.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has been after a new forward all summer and has been linked with Liverpool’s Christian Benteke and AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca, amongst others.
He’s now turned to Ayew, who should become the fifth new arrival at the club this summer following the earlier captures of striker Ashley Fletcher, midfielder Havard Nordtveit, and wingers Sofiane Feghouli and Gokhan Tore.
