Swansea look set to be without the injured Andre Ayew for the crucial clash with Aston Villa this weekend.
The influential Ghana international was absent from the 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth on Saturday, and assistant boss Alan Curtis has confirmed he is struggling with an ankle problem.
Ayew picked up the injury in the victory over Norwich City and Curtis says he should be fit for the clash with Stoke City after the international break.
“Andre turned his ankle against Norwich,” Curtis explained. “He’s in France having it assessed. I don’t think it’s bad.
“He’s doubtful for next week but after that it’s the international break so hopefully by the time we play Stoke it should be all right.”
It also means that Ayew will miss out on the opportunity to face his brother Jordan, who is also trying to keep Aston Villa in the Premier League.
