Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin insists Andre Ayew is happy at the club and is hoping he will stay for at least one more season.
Ayew penned a four-year deal when he arrived from Marseille last summer so any interested party will have to pay big money to have any chance of luring him away.
Chelsea are the latest club to show an interest in the Ghana international, who bagged 12 goals in a struggling side last season, and Guidolin admits it may be difficult to keep him.
However, the Italian remains hopeful as Ayew is happy at the Liberty Stadium and pretty much guaranteed first-team football.
“I hope he stays,” said the Swansea boss. “I don’t know, but we have discovered other good characteristics with him. He says he is not a striker and he is a midfielder, but in my opinion he is a striker. He is also a good false nine.
“He is a big player, but his attitude is good. He is an important player, but he is quiet, a good guy. He is happy here.”
