Jordan Lyden has signed a new contract with Aston Villa.
The midfielder’s deal was due to expire in the summer but he has now agreed fresh terms with the Championship club.
The Australian’s new contract sees him extend his stay at Villa Park until 2019 and he is delighted to be have sorted his future.
“I’m really happy to have signed a contract extension. It’s great that the manager has got faith in me and sees me as part of the future,” Lyden told Aston Villa’s official club website.
“I’ve loved my time here so far and I know that this is the best place for me to continue my development.
“It’s an exciting time to be at the club too. There’s a great groups of lads here and the coaching staff have been brilliant with me. I want to help the club get back into the Premier League.”
