Borussia Dortmund are ready to cash in on Ilkay Gundogan this summer – and Arsenal are now set to rekindle their interest in the German ace.
According to Bild, Dortmund are finally open to selling the £23m-rated midfielder, who is out of contract in 2017 and refusing to pen an extension.
And Arsenal, who have held a long-standing interest in Gundogan, are among the clubs currently weighing up a summer move.
However, the report also suggests that Arsene Wenger will not have a straight run at the schemer, who is also wanted by Barcelona and Juventus.
Manchester City and Liverpool have also expressed an interest in him in the past and both Premier League clubs could join the race given Dortmund’s decision.
Gundogan has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s finest players since arriving at Dortmund from Nurnberg back in 2011.
He has made 21 top-flight appearances so far this term, scoring once, in what could be his final campaign with the club.
