Valencia have become the latest club to register an interest in Arsenal target William Carvalho, claim reports in Spain.
Arsenal have seen numerous attempts to land the Sporting Lisbon midfielder thwarted in recent seasons and eventually opted to sign Mohamed Elneny instead.
However, the Gunners are on the lookout for further midfield reinforcements this summer and it is understood that Carvalho remains on their list of targets.
But according to Onda Cero, Valencia are making progress in their pursuit of the 24-year-old and are now considered as favourites in the race to land the Portuguese star.
Jorge Mendes, Carvalho’s agent, holds a close relationship with the directors at Valencia, having brokered a number of transfers with the club in the past, and is apparently keen for his client to move to the Mestalla.
