Arsenal still appear keen on Hajduk Split attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic after sending scouts to watch Croatia’s ‘Eternal Derby’.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Leicester City spies watched the top-of-the-table clash against Dinamo Zagreb on Sunday, as they scout for emerging talent.
Vlasic has been on the Gunners’ radar for a while, with the 19-year-old reported to have been followed by Arsenal and Inter Milan for almost a year.
Scouts from Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach, Ajax, Juventus, Roma, AC Milan, AZ Alkmaar, PSV, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Spartak Moscow were also in attendance at the Maksimir Stadium.
Croatia Under-21 midfielder Vlasic, who was substituted midway through the second half on Sunday, is the best young talent at the Split club.
Vlasic already has 85 appearances and six goals to his name for Hajduk Split, despite only turning 19 this week.
