Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey remain absent for Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s visit of Swansea.
French striker Giroud and midfield playmaker Ramsey were both expected to return after the international break but manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the home game against the Swans has come too soon for the duo.
Giroud and Ramsey are still short of match fitness, according to the manager, following respective toe and hamstring issues.
Carl Jenkinson is closing in on a return from a knee injury but will not feature this weekend, while Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck remain long-term absentees with knee problems of their own.
Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Debuchy, Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Koscielny, Mustafi, Gibbs, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka, Coquelin, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott, Iwobi, Lucas, Akpom.
