Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny having ‘amazing’ time adapting to Premier League: ‘It’s first class!’
Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny says it only took him three weeks to become accustomed to the physical nature of the Premier League.
The Egypt international signed for the Gunners from Basel in January for £5m and has already established himself as a regular in the first team.
Despite Arsenal’s faltering end to the season, which has seen them surrender yet another title challenge, Elneny insists the club’s style of football still makes them one of the most attractive clubs to play for in England.
“It is amazing. Everything is wonderful, from the fans to the style of play,” he told Arsenal Player.
“I enjoy playing for Arsenal so much. It’s a different kind of football, it’s faster and first class.
“Some said I would find it hard to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League but I thought otherwise.
“I even told my agent to give me three weeks to show him how well I could adapt. I know I can adapt to all kinds of people and every league I play in.”
